Dear Elementary Parents,

The Garden Spot Health Council is honored to visit Blue Ball, Brecknock, and New Holland Elementary Schools on Tuesday, April 14, for our Hearts & Heroes Cancer Education Day. During our visit, we will be reading the book When a Kid Like Me Fights Cancer.
 
Our goal is to foster a supportive environment by helping children understand the journey that some of their peers may face, highlighting courage and resilience along the way. This age-appropriate story emphasizes empathy, friendship, and the importance of a strong “support squad.” We look forward to sparking meaningful conversations and reminding students that no one has to face challenges alone.

If your child comes home with questions about the reading, we encourage you to use it as an opportunity to talk about how we can all show kindness and support to those going through difficult times.  If you have any additional questions, please contact your building principal.
